This is our roughest circuit. The track is unpaved, the ride is bumpy, and you will get splashed, muddy and shaken around. If that sounds like fun, you will love it. If you prefer a smooth, scenic drive, our Sathram Highland Safari or Parunthumpara tour is a better fit.

The circuit runs through most of the year, and the experience changes with the season. Dry months give firmer tracks and clearer views over the reservoir. During the monsoon the streams run fuller and the mud is deeper, which makes the ride more extreme. Heavy rain can affect the track, so we check conditions on the day and will tell you honestly if the route needs adjusting.
Start early. A morning departure from Kumily gives you cooler weather, better light for photos and more time on the trail.

Plan for 6 to 8 hours, including the mud track, river crossings, a rustic jungle lunch and coffee break, and the descent to the sunset ridge track.

The trip includes a natural stream bath and waterfall dip spot. Water levels change with the season and recent rain, so your driver will tell you where it is safe to get in.
